Lots of communal singing to support the meeting, plus leadership and special music from a massed choir for the Celebration of Ministry service on June 3. See you there!
Music Matters in London, ON, April 27-29, 2018
We’ll be joining church musicians and lovers of church music from across the country for Music Matters in London, ON, April 27-29. Music Matters is an annual event hosted by Music United in different locations across Canada each year, with workshops (including a couple of sessions with Bruce), a hymn festival, and worship opportunities. Bruce to receive honorary doctorate in Saskatoon!
I received a call a while ago from Lorne Calvert, the principal of St. Andrew’s College in Saskatoon, SK, asking if I would be willing to receive an honorary doctorate from the college at their convocation in June! My first reaction was “why?” 🙂 But I am grateful to the college and to those across the country who nominated me for the honour.
There is now an article on the St. Andrew’s website about the nomination, and we’ll be in Saskatoon on May 8 to receive the degree!
An Enchanting Afternoon with B & B
Come and spend an enchanting afternoon with Bruce Harding and Babeeta Chhabra on February 22nd between 2-4pm at the Nataraja Wellness Centre in New Westminster, BC. A time of healing instrumental improvisation, gentle chanting, movement and meditation. No previous experience required, donations accepted.
Babeeta Chhabra is a singer/songwriter, dancer and yoga teacher. She has travelled and taught Yoga workshops in a number of different countries and is the creator of the Nataraja Wellness Centre, which is founded on healing through music, dance and meditation. She is passionate about creating music and dance compositions that authentically blend the best of the East and West.
Music Matters in Moncton! – September 13-14
September – a lovely time of year to be in the Maritimes! September 13-14 I’ll be offering music and workshop leadership at Music Matters, a conference sponsored by Music United, the United Church of Canada Association of Musicians. And following the conference, our annual AGM for Music United on PEI. Should be fun. I’d love to see you there if you’re in the area!
