Drumming for Peace! - September 21

Join us for Drumming for Peace!, September 21 at 7:30pm at Crossroads United Church.

Drumming for Peace! is an intercultural and interfaith gathering of drummers of all skill levels - beginners welcome! We will have drums and percussion on hand for 50 or more participants, bring your own drum if you have one so more can attend. We'll be laying down meditative grooves, improvising chanted prayers for peace, dancing around the labyrinth. Curious passive participants welcome, active contribution encouraged. A free event, but please bring a donation for our local food bank.

Drumming for Peace! is part of the Global Synchronized Meditation for World Peace organized by Unify.org to celebrate International Day of Peace.

Christmas Blessings!

Nativity, by Master Franck (1424)

Christmas blessings, everyone! We'll be singing this song tonight and through the Christmas season, a favourite of ours from our album, This is the Day:

  • Born in Human Likeness (pdf and mp3)

2012 has been a good year for us, eventful as always. We moved back across the Fraser River, from our house in Surrey, BC to a condominium at the Quay in New Westminster, BC. Cheryl and I are very fond of this city, and she has deep family roots here, so it does feel like a homecoming of sorts. And as you may have heard, our latest Christmas album, A Black and White Christmas, which we produced with our good friend Neeraj Prem, just won a Hamilton Music Award. So many blessings, and much to look forward to in 2013!

We would like to thank our church communities and our many friends for their continuing love and support for us. You make it possible for us to do what we do! We look forward to making music with you all in the new year.
