Jesus heals blind Bartimaeus – October 28

Blind BartimaeusA busy week this time, with a number of songs coming up in the lectionary texts! See what you might find useful among the following:

  • Psalm 34: “Taste and See” (pdf and bulletin graphic) – a gospel-flavoured setting of the opening verses of the psalm, set as a dialogue between a soloist and the choir/congregation.
  • Psalm 126:3: “Truly God has done great things for us” (pdfbulletin graphic, and midi) – a joyful SATB psalm refrain
  • Psalm 126:6: “Those who sow in tears” (pdfbulletin graphic and midi) – a round for congregation and/or choir
  • Mark 10:46-52: “The Blind Man” (pdf) – my adaptation and arrangement of the traditional African-American spiritual. A favourite of ours for many years now!
