Summer Tour 2012

We’re hitting the road this July and August, heading out to Winnipeg and back, for a whirlwind series of events:

  • co-leading a hymn festival with our good buddy, Lloyd MacLean, for the annual conference of the Hymn Society in the United States and Canada at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Manitoba, July 15-19
  • helping to plan and lead a regional Worship Matters event in Brandon, Manitoba, July 20-22. We’re focusing on worship music leadership, repertoire, and of course having a good time!
  • we’ll wind our way back across western Canada, offering drumming workshops and concerts enroute. If you’d like to host us let us know!
  • We’ll be at Naramata Centre leading a programme, “Going Global: Singing and Drumming With Spirit,” July 29-August 4.

And then we’ll make our way quickly home. Whew! Hope to see you along the way…

Sounds of the Soul – Interfaith Chanting – June 9

In partnership with the Multifaith Action Society, we’re organizing an inspiring evening of sacred chant, with ten faith traditions represented. June 9, 6:30pm, at Crossroads United Church, North Delta, BC. What better way to promote understanding and enthusiasm for the richness and diversity of faith than to taste each other’s songs, supported by a fabulous team of instrumentalists? Join us! Reception to follow.

Multicultural Conference in North Carolina – April 26-29

God’s door is open: Who are we to stand in the way? April 23-29 I’m in Charlotte, North Carolina, for the 13th Annual National Multicultural Conference for The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), leading music for worship and plenary times, and co-leading the workshop stream on multicultural worship and music. Many months of planning have gone into this event, and the leadership team is amazing! Looking for a spring getaway and for fresh ideas on how to be church together? Join us in Charlotte!

Advent Tour 2011!

We’re off on our Advent tour, starting in Prince George, BC, then making our way out the eastern Saskatchewan and back, for two weeks of singing, fun, and hopefully good roads. This is a rare thing for us – normally we tour closer to home in Advent – so if you can join us we’d love to see you, and if you have friends and family along the way please let them know we’re coming through. Details on our events page!

Advent Tour to Saskatchewan and back! November 28 – December 11

For the first (and likely only) time ever, we’re taking our annual Advent tour outside of the West Coast, heading for the Prairies! If you would like to suggest an evening that might suit your church and/or community we would love to make music with you and participate in your Advent preparations.

Our available dates are November 27 – December 11 for a tour out to the Prairies and back to the Vancouver area, and December 12 – December 23 closer to home (Vancouver area, Vancouver Island, Sunshine Coast, etc.)

We’d be happy to offer a sing-a-long concert of Advent songs, participate in your Sunday morning worship service, help to lead a Blue Christmas service – whatever seems like a good fit for your community.

Email or call for details. We can’t wait to sing with you!
