Join us for Soulstice: A Celebration of the Returning of the Light, Friday, December 21 at 7pm at Crossroads United Church in Delta, BC.

An evening of intercultural music-making and celebrating, a drum circle, a jam session, a dance, embodied prayer, rhythm and life: Soulstice is all of these things! So bring a drum, bring a friend, come join in the rhythm and song, or just come because you’re curious…

If you don’t have your own instrument, don’t let that stop you! We will have 25 djembes and other drums and percussion available for people to share and enjoy.

Free admission, but please bring a donation for our local food banks.

Please help us spread the word. Download a poster and put it up anywhere you can think of! We’ll see you on the 21st…

Neeraj Prem accepting our Hamilton Music Award

A Black and White Christmas, our recent Christmas album with sitar maestro, Neeraj Prem, just won a Hamilton Music Award for best religious recording! Neeraj was able to attend the gala on our behalf (thanks, Neeraj!) to hear the results and accept the award, a lovely treble clef statuette which you see him holding here.

So if you haven’t yet purchased any award-winning Christmas music as a gift this year, now is the time. 🙂 Available through our production company, MelodicArts Media as a CD or as a digital download. You can also get A Black and White Christmas through iTunes and all other major download services around the world.

A big thanks to all of you for your support of independent music, and of uniquely intercultural projects such as this one! And a big thanks to Neeraj for his friendship and his musical gifts.

Here’s a simple setting with a rhythmic refrain, allowing you to sing the entire prose version:

  • “Benedictus (Song of Zechariah)” (pdf)

  • Psalm 132: “Rise Up, O God” (pdf and bulletin graphic) – a brand new refrain!
  • Revelation 1:8: “Alpha and Omega” (pdf and bulletin graphic) – bring the voices in one by one, starting with the low voices, to build this “chant in parts” to a climax
