Christmas blessings, everyone! We’ll be singing this song tonight and through the Christmas season, a favourite of ours from our album, This is the Day:

A Black and White Christmas wins Hamilton Music Award!
A Black and White Christmas, our recent Christmas album with sitar maestro, Neeraj Prem, just won a Hamilton Music Award for best religious recording! Neeraj was able to attend the gala on our behalf (thanks, Neeraj!) to hear the results and accept the award, a lovely treble clef statuette which you see him holding here.
So if you haven’t yet purchased any award-winning Christmas music as a gift this year, now is the time. 🙂 Available through our production company, MelodicArts Media as a CD or as a digital download. You can also get A Black and White Christmas through iTunes and all other major download services around the world.
A big thanks to all of you for your support of independent music, and of uniquely intercultural projects such as this one! And a big thanks to Neeraj for his friendship and his musical gifts.
Second Sunday of Advent – Year C
One of our favourite texts for this time of year is the song Zechariah sings when he regains his voice after naming his son, John (the one who they will later call John the Baptist). This beautiful ancient song of the church, the Benedictus to use its Latin name, is found in the first chapter of Luke. Here’s a simple setting with a rhythmic refrain, allowing you to sing the entire prose version:

First Sunday in Advent – December 2
Happy New Year, everyone! We start the cycle of the Christian year over again this week as Advent begins. Prepare your hearts!
Here are two refrains for Psalm 25:
- “To You, O God” (pdf and bulletin graphic) – a round in four parts!
- “Make Me Know Your Ways” (pdf, bulletin graphic and mp3) – another round in four parts, from our album Like a Healing Stream
