Celebrate Christmas in July, church musician style!

When July comes, my thoughts turn to Christmas. Not for the reason you may be thinking of – trying to find an alternative family gathering time to avoid the complications of the Christmas season – but because I need to get ahead in my worship planning so I and my musical ensembles are ready in plenty of time! So if, like me, you’re working ahead, here are a few suggestions from our catalogue for Christmas songs and anthems for you to try with your community. Music Matters in London, ON, April 27-29, 2018

We’ll be joining church musicians and lovers of church music from across the country for Music Matters in London, ON, April 27-29. Music Matters is an annual event hosted by Music United in different locations across Canada each year, with workshops (including a couple of sessions with Bruce), a hymn festival, and worship opportunities. There is Room for All – a song of inclusion!

Our song “There is Room for All” from the album This is the Day is proving again to be a song of inclusion for many! The National LGBTQ Task Force in the US has included our song in their list of LGBTQ-affirming and welcoming-themed songs for worship communities to use as they explore the backlash to marriage equality and the rise of anti-LGBTQ laws in many states.

There are two pdfs available in our catalogue: one for the full score, including SATB harmony and a piano accompaniment, and the other for the SATB score alone, a single-page simpler option to print for choirs.
